Yes, this is a website for retailers only. Orders are submitted to the Sommer Street team who review them and then pass them along to the appropriate publisher for fulfillment.
You do not need a Sommer Street account to place an order, but each of the publishers we represent have different processes for getting you set up in their system so they can bill and ship to you.
We are not a book distributor and we do not inventory any product. We are independent reps that work with a variety of book publishers to make it easier for retailers to discover and order quality craft books. .
We feel your pain. Each of the publishers we represent has different rules and procedures for getting new retailers set up in their systems. The good news is that this is a one-time effort per publisher, making reordering a breeze.
Most of our publishers accept credit card payments, either up front or when you pay your monthly invoice. Credit card payments are NOT made on the Sommer Street website, however. Some of our publishers are able to file away your credit card and others require it be provided for every order. Once your order is placed, someone will follow up with you to gather credit card information if necessary.
Wholesale discounts vary by publisher. Discounts are automatically applied in the shopping cart.
